"Cloudscape"
Most of the rainbows I've seen are against the swirling grays of clouds. So it just seemed natural (or unnatural naturally) to have the clouds take on the colors of a rainbow. I just gently twisted them into a landscape. The soft transitions between values of the same hue are one of the benefits of using oils. This painting gave me a blissful feeling from start to finish. But by the time I realized it, the feeling was over, the painting was done.
